This is done through a variety of actions – some as simple as paying for indoor driving range time for the golf teams when spring doesn’t show up,to something as elaborate and long lasting as funding the new mats in the gym.
The Boosters provide money above and beyond the money that the school earmarks for athletics. As an example, the school can have every football player on the team dress for games, as the Boosters paid to recertify existing helmets and also purchase several new helmets. We have started budgeting to replace all the team sport uniforms every four years. In other words, everything we do and have done would not have happened without the support of the members of the Booster Club.
We are always looking for any time, talent, or treasure anyone can provide our group – there are plenty of opportunities to get involved beyond the mandatory concession serving when your kids are in 8th and 11th grade!
