What do you like to do in your spare time? I love spending time with my husband, Ryan, and daughters, Abby, Alayna, and Nora. I also love spending time with my friends. I am an extrovert so being around others gives me energy! I also love reading, shopping, being outside, decorating/crafting, singing and music, and enjoying a great cup of coffee!
Why did you choose the teaching profession? In high school, I was able to work alongside my favorite fourth grade teacher. It was a really great experience. Because of great teachers, like my fourth-grade teacher, I was influenced to think about teaching as a career. I’ve always loved working with kids and have a true passion for helping them learn and grow.
Why do you feel called into Christian education? 2023 was my first year teaching at a Christian school. My oldest daughter decided to attend Park her 8thgrade year, previously attending public schools. We saw first hand how valuable her experience was. She was surrounded by others that love Jesus and encouraged her in her faith, while at the same time receiving an amazing education! I felt His calling to teach at Park and stepped out in faith. I’m so grateful to be able to share my personal faith and love for Jesus with students and encourage them along the way! It is truly a privilege.
The best part about following Jesus is... He is my solid rock and one that I know will never let me down, when so many things in life do. Since I first decided in college to give my life to Jesus, my life truly hasn’t been the same! His all-surpassing peace and hope is something that I always have. The security I have in Him, that’s never dependent on anything I do, is invaluable. He fills me with true JOY despite my circumstances. There are so many things that are amazing about following Jesus, I can’t pick just one!
