What do you like to do in your spare time?  I love spending time with my family and friends – whether we’re doing something active or just sitting and talking.  I also enjoy reading, baking, and working on house projects.

Your favorite Bible verse and why: One of my favorite verses is Philippians 2:3-4, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

It’s important to me to have a teachable heart – in relation to my walk with God but also in my interactions with others, and I believe that humility goes hand-in-hand with being teachable.  The call to humility isn’t one that comes naturally to most anyone, but if we each took these verses to heart and lived them out, our homes, cities, and world would look drastically different.

The best part about following Jesus is...Knowing that I don’t have to be the one to keep all the balls rolling – I can trust and rest in our sovereign God.  I have hope when life is chaotic and messy, and I have a secure identity as a child of God.  And always, the hope of Heaven.
