What do you like to do in your spare time? I love spending time with my family and friends. I like to play cards, play music, and have movie nights with my friends. Summer is my favorite time of the year; I really enjoy going to the lake, waterskiing, and playing floating spikeball.
Why do you feel called into Christian education? I went to Park Christian School from kindergarten to twelfth grade. My time at Park really helped me build a solid foundation of faith. The teachers and staff provided me with a safe place to live out and practice my faith. I want my students to be able to have the same experience I did. I want to be an example of what it means to follow Jesus to my students and show them the love of Christ daily. When they enter my classroom, I hope they know how loved, worthy, and special they are in God’s eyes.
The best part about following Jesus is...One of my favorite things about following Jesus is knowing that I do not have to do anything on my own. I heard a speaker say, "God is not going to lead you anywhere that He has not already been." That phrase has stuck with me and helped me trust what the Lord has planned for my future. We are imperfect people. He calls us to become better but does not make us try to do that on our own. He wants to partner with us and help us draw closer to Him. It is very comforting to know that Jesus wants to be a part of my life and help me become more like Him.
