Zach Gabbard benefit at upcoming PCS games

From Head Boys Basketball Coach Gary Walton:
Many of you have heard the news stories about Zach Gabbard, the Perham High School Varsity basketball player who collapsed during a game January 20th. Zach continues to recover at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. You can find out more about his condition at the following Caring Bridge link.
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/zachgabbard
PCS Falcon Athletics would like to ask you help us participate in a benefit for Zach and his mounting medical expenses. The Perham Backcourt Club will host this benefit February 27, from 11AM to 4PM, and they have asked our basketball program if we would be willing to coordinate a community donation for the silent auction.
Would you consider showing your support for this young man and his family? We plan to take a collection ("blanket toss") during half-time of the boys Varsity game this Thursday and the girls Varsity game next Tuesday.
Thursday Feb. 3 7:30 PM Boys Varsity vs. Hillcrest
Tuesday Feb. 8 7:30 PM Girls Varsity vs. New York Mills
Additionally, we will have a collection box at the ticket table of each of the six gym sites involved in our 4-6 grade Tournament of Champions this weekend, Feb. 4-5.
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, "Go in peace; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:14-17
Thanks for your help and concern. Please continue to pray for Zach and his family. |
