PCS Pre-Kindergarten

     Welcome to Park Christian Early Childhood Center!  We welcome you into a “Christ-centered” creative learning environment.  The Pre-Kindergarten class can expect a year filled with Bible stories, Bible Memory Verses, friends, creative learning, and sharing the love of Jesus!  Our program has been designed to promote growth in Christian living, social and motor skills, language arts, music, creative expression, math, reading readiness, and science.   Children are offered a wide range of materials with which to manipulate, explore, and learn.  The classroom is constantly filled to overflowing with interesting materials.  Individual differences are provided for as the materials and supplies are very diversified.  It is our goal that every child meets with success. 

     Play is recognized as the child's way of working and learning.  Young children learn through first-hand experience.  They learn through experimenting, through observing, through trying and through talking about what they are discovering.

     We recognize that there is no second chance at childhood.  It comes and goes quickly.   The growing child cannot wait until he is older for the things he needs now.  Later will be too late.  If he does not get sufficient food and protection from disease when he is young, he may not even live to receive everything we would want him to have later.  If he does not have the chance early in life for the normal development of his mind, his body, and his relationship to others, we cannot make it up to him later.  The years of his life when he is most impressionable, when he is most eager and ready to learn, will have been lost beyond recall.

     “Share and Tell” is a special time of day in Pre-K as we “Share and Tell” the love of Jesus!  Bible stories, Bible songs, Creative Drama, Bible Memory Verses,and prayer time abounds.  Students are taught to “Stop, Drop, and Pray!”   We use the A Beka Bible curriculum and children learn Bible Memory Verses from A-Z.
